The Neptune Wood Floor Stain with PolyWhey® provides professional-grade and environmentally safer staining for any wood flooring application.
Neptune Floor Stain is a buildable stain, For deeper color, leave stain on longer. For lighter color, wipe immediately.
Application
1) Stir and/or shake material thoroughly before use. If water popping floor prior to staining, wait until the floor is
fully dried before applying Neptune.
2) Apply Neptune with the grain of the wood at coverage rate of approximately 700-800 sq. feet per gallon.
3) Allow Neptune to penetrate for 6-8 minutes then remove any excess with a soft clean cloth or buffing with non
abrasive material. When a Vermont Natural Coatings floor finish is applied as the top coat, the color will shift back to its
original tone.
4) Allow 8 hours of normal drying conditions before top coating with Vermont Natural Coatings top coats. Roller
application is preferred, t-bar can be used.
5) After 2 coats of finish have been applied, lightly sand to knock down any grain raise. Apply final coat of your choice of
Vermont Natural Coatings floor finish.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION SYSTEM: For most applications, 1 coat of PolyWhey® Neptune Wood Floor Stain
directly on bare wood is recommended, then top coat with 3 coats of your chosen Vermont Natural Coatings PolyWhey
floor finish.
