Orlando, FL — April 21, 2026 — Today, Bob Goldstein was inducted into the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Hall of Fame during the opening session of the 2026 Convention in Orlando.
The NWFA Hall of Fame Award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the wood flooring industry through innovation, service, and leadership. Bob’s career spans nearly seven decades, beginning in 1958 at age 12 working alongside his father, a lifelong floor installer. He launched his own contracting business in 1970, building a respected family enterprise that continues today under the leadership of his son Todd. Bob remains active in the trade, still installing and finishing floors when needed.
A dedicated educator and mentor, Bob taught flooring installation in Broward County, Florida’s vocational education program for more than a decade and has served since 1995 as an NWFA instructor, ambassador, and volunteer technical resource. He is certified in installation, sanding and finishing, and inspection, and has earned every NWFA degree from Craftsman to Ambassador. He has also authored more than 30 technical articles for leading industry publications and has mentored hundreds of professionals throughout his career.
“Bob is known for his integrity, craftsmanship, and willingness to support others — often seven days a week.” said Andrew Meyer, Founder, Vermont Natural Coatings. “He represents the core of the wood flooring industry: the contractor whose life’s work strengthens the profession for future generations”.
The National Wood Flooring Association is a nonprofit trade association representing all segments of the hardwood flooring industry. The NWFA provides education, training, and standards to promote professionalism and advance the wood flooring industry worldwide.
